What is a two point turn?

A two-point turn, also known as a Y-turn or a K-turn, is a driving maneuver used to turn a vehicle around in a tight space where a traditional U-turn is not possible.

To perform a two-point turn, the driver first pulls over to the right side of the road and comes to a complete stop. The driver then turns the steering wheel to the left and backs up, creating the first point of the turn. Once the vehicle is angled in the opposite direction, the driver then shifts the vehicle into drive and turns the steering wheel to the right to complete the turn and continue on in the opposite direction.

Two-point turns are useful in situations where there is not enough space to make a U-turn or a three-point turn. It is important to carefully check for oncoming traffic and pedestrians before executing a two-point turn to ensure safety.
